"Ice" captures the emotional walls we put up after heartbreak. After leaving a long-term relationship, I found myself hesitant to trust, afraid of being hurt again—especially by those who once swore they wouldn’t. So, I’d rather pull away, stay independent, and keep my guard up than risk vulnerability.

And so it's like I would rather pull away and not engage in a relationship with anyone or actually let anybody in so that I don't get hurt at all.
You know, I've been hurt too many times in the past by people who said they'd never hurt me.
I've been burned, you know?
So like the ice, it's a play on "Ice, ice, baby," (laughs) but it's also about like, I would rather say, "You know what, I'm happy on my own, and I'm not gonna be vulnerable enough and open up to anybody in order to protect myself and preserve myself."
But then at the end, it's reflective of like, is the ice... You know, am I ice because of this of icing people out?
Am I ice?
Is the ice what burns me, you know, 'cause ice can also burn if it's very cold.
And sometimes when you're lonely, and you shut everybody out, you get very cold.
That's what that song's about.
