Billboard is a deeply reflective track about the inescapable nature of self
Billboard is a deeply reflective track about the inescapable nature of self—wherever we go, we take our thoughts, emotions, and burdens with us. Whether you’re in Milwaukee, Antarctica, or anywhere in between, you can’t outrun who you are. Originally a piano ballad, this stripped-down acoustic version brings out the raw emotion and lyrical depth that makes Holy Pinto’s music so unique.

This song's called Billboard.
(gentle guitar music) ♪ If I had a billboard ♪ ♪ To show the whole world ♪ ♪ It'd say never stay in one place for too long ♪ ♪ Gift if the gamble's just disappeared ♪ ♪ And all I can feel is this terror this year ♪ (gentle guitar music) ♪ Whenever I, ever I, ever I ever ♪ ♪ Wherever I, ever I, ever I ever ♪ ♪ Whenever I, ever I, ever I leave ♪ ♪ I take me with me ♪ (gentle guitar music) ♪ I broke down in Texas ♪ ♪ Its dustbowl beauty ♪ ♪ Day that I learned to not believe in me ♪ ♪ The end of the summer with everything close ♪ ♪ Flew like a snowbird, yes flee from the cold.

It's quite a, essentially it's like we take our burdens wherever we go.
So basically it's the you can't escape yourself.
The old classic, so if the other song Milwaukee was about settling here and kind of my perspective on that, this song's almost more, it doesn't matter if you're in Milwaukee or you're in, I don't know, Antarctica.
It's like we still live with our own thoughts.
We still do our own thing.
And that song was very much about that.
It's like, I take me with me.
I am wherever I am, and ultimately we are all that.
So I wrote that song.
It's kind of a piano ballad on the record, and I broke it down acoustic guitar here.
But it's very, it's kind of non geographic in a lot of ways.
It's kind of the behind that geography.
So that's what that song's about.
