So "Milkweed" is, there's a lot of influences for "Milkweed."
Honestly, I was really just fiddling around with the guitar and I found that chord progression that I really came to like.
And I thought it sounded cool, weird, and a little kind of like that unsatisfied feeling when you listen to it.
And first I had a completely different set of lyrics for it.
I didn't like it.
I thought it was corny.
It went.
Over the summer, I was actually doing some writing workshops, which was really fun.
I didn't workshop it there, but I went home with the set of chords I had already, and I just started strumming it out.
It's definitely inspired by relationships, being used in relationships, not having good experiences with guys.
And then also I wanted the main focus to not be the butterflies though, that's why it's called "Milkweed" 'cause it's really more so kind of the effect the effect of being treated that way.
