The volunteers here are basically kind of the lifeblood of the place.
They do a lot of things that the rest of the staff doesn't have the time to do or you know, even the ability to do.
They're a wonderful group of guys, most all of them are veterans.
I have the most bestest job there is here.
I mean, I get to see everything.
I read all the letters the guys wrote to their moms and their girlfriends.
It's just it keeps you coming back you want to know more about these people And you want to do something about what they brought and gave us.
We meet people from all over the world here at the museum We've had people from New Zealand, China, Germany.
You never know who's going to come and visit.
Part of it is comradeship.
And some of the fellow people I work with, I also, besides giving tours, I take part of a three person unit that gives a Vietnam presentation.
And we have a chance to tell them about some of our experiences in the military.
And sometimes what we'll do is we'll show some of the artifacts that we use here and how we used that during the military and so forth.
It's very important to remember our history and to not forget those that paved the way for us to enjoy the freedoms that we enjoy today.
