NJ to recruit more state troopers

Murphy said they will help with critical law enforcement and emergency management needs

By this time next year a new class of NJ State Police troopers will be on the job, one of two new classes being planned to bolster the force by 2023. Gov. Murphy said Monday the additional recruits will help meet critical law enforcement and emergency management needs -- a role that’s grown in its demands since the start of the pandemic and more frequent tropical storms and other severe weather.
