Farmers in the Shenandoah Valley say they've been affected by a dry summer with drought conditions.
But rainfall from Tropical Storm Debby could make a difference for some crops and help feed livestock this fall.
Next week, a drought task force will meet to discuss Debbie's impact on statewide water stores.
Richmond Public Schools will receive $15 million in federal funding.
The money will go towards upgrading HVAC systems at 22 schools in the city, decreasing energy costs and improving air quality.
RPS was the only district in Virginia and one of 16 nationwide to receive funds.
The Virginia Department of Education plans to release updated cellphone usage guidelines for students next month.
This comes after a series of listening sessions held across the state.
RYAN ABBOTT: They're just not used to concentrating attention on something.
And so that's been a real adjustment for, I think, any teacher.
How do you win that attention when there are so many other things that they could be doing?
KEYRIS MANZANARES: Governor Glenn Youngkin issued an executive order calling for cellphone free education in public schools.
