I'm a little bitty Alabama girl.
Grew up in Piedmont, Alabama.
- Piedmont.
- And we had a high school band, and stuff like that, which was wonderful.
But I eventually moved to Nashville, and I was a naive singer back in the day.
Okay, I know you Alabama folks are not gonna love that, but that's okay.
But anyways, I love my youth singers.
That gave me a spurt, and then I moved to Nashville.
And you know what you gotta do?
You just gotta keep singing.
- Keep singing.
- Keep singing, keep praising the Lord, and keep praying for Him to show you His will.
And so, that's the big part of it is I just had to keep doing what I knew that He had gifted me to do, sing, and then it became to write some too, But you just gotta keep doing what your craft is and what God gave you, what He put in you.
And then pray for somebody to help lead you along the way.
- Got you.
Well, I'll tell you what, if you take what Ms. Kelly has just said, it'll help you.
So don't get discouraged because success is just you doing okay obeying.

- That's what we're afraid of.
- Okay, well listen, we wanna thank everybody for viewing tonight.
We thank you so much, and we are just hoping that you were encouraged by the ones who ministered tonight.
And join us again on next Saturday night, eight o'clock.
Don't forget now, as you come and go, smile.
Make somebody happy just with your love.
Your love goes out and it comes back to you.
Guys, can you get your mics up?
And I want you to repeat this after me.
Say we're all sisters and brothers.
- [Clear Vision] We're all sisters and brothers.
- There's only one color.
- [Clear Vision] There's only one color.
- And that is the color of love.
- [Clear Vision] And that is the color of love.
- All right, well everybody have a great week.
Be well, and we will see you next Saturday, eight o'clock right here on "Alabama Gospel Roots".
