UW-Madison political science professor Barry Burden is in-studio to discuss his recent surveys on the role that gender bias plays in elections. He says that even when controlling for unique characteristics among candidates, gender bias against female candidates remains. Burden says the bias also causes many women to not seek election in the first place.
