Well good morning.
Welcome to game those here on LPB.
It's great to have you with us on this Saturday morning as we get ready for the Thanksgiving holidays.
If you're about to hit the road, safe travels to you and yours.
Here's my Super Bowl champ partner Scott Shanley.
I'm Victor Howell, lots to talk about here in the next 30 minutes.
And Scott, at this stage of the season on the FCS level, we've had some teams that now call it a season.
Believe it or not, we're already done for other teams on the pH level.
Some of our teams four quarters, eight quarters away, still trying to get bowl level.
So still plenty to play for here down the stretch.
Yeah, we said we said a week ago.
So this is the type of season where some teams get tired of the process.
Well unfortunately for some teams that process is over.
It goes by quick.
But there's a handful of teams are still playing for a lot.
All those goals they set out in spring football as they rolled into the training camp season felt like it just started, and now they're trying to play for those goals.
Yeah.
So how how far can you dig deep to get ready for these calls.
We'll talk about that coming up.
But we're going to start with what was a massive showdown Thursday night over at Strawberry Stadium in Hammond, where his home of the Southeastern Lions, who over the last two seasons the Lions of Southeastern are 12 and two and South in conference play last year, they had hopes of a playoff appearance but fell just short a win Thursday night and the Riverboat Classic against the Colonel Tom Nichols was solidify a playoff spot for the Lions this season and make them 13 and two over the last two years.
Great atmosphere Thursday night.
Let's take it to the highlights and show you how this one played out.
The Colonels, they've been on a roll as of late and you know the road team has won this game over the last seven years.
They've taken the Bell Trophy home with a well in the first minute of action.
Trouble for the Colonels Ian Rodrigue scrambles, fumbles Lions forcing it to cough it up clean Moore forces it Cameron Ford recovers it.
Four plays later Carson Camp and Jalen DiMaggio not a shock.
He's got 18 yards and the Lions are up seven.
Nothing but the Colonels respond with their own defense.
The Lions forced to punt on the next possession deep in their own territory.
Alec Miller's blocked.
A kick is blocked by Kelvin Gray.
Ty Marsh gets it and brings it back 16 yards.
Now the Colonels are in good field position and two plays later Shane Lee up the middle, gets the score from eight yards out on the direct snap.
We're tied at seven five minutes into the second quarter 14 seven southeastern.
It's Lee again this time on the handoff.
Right side 17 yards.
They tie it up at 14 apiece.
Later in the second quarter Kyle Low and at quarterback Scott this should be illegal.
How good is Jalen DiMaggio.
That's just one on one taking advantage of your matchup on the outside.
That's stealing I mean just to size advantage back at the end zone.
He scores.
It's 2114.
It takes the Colonels three plays to answer.
This time it's Corey Warren Jr 47 yards down the right sideline.
And we're tied at 21.
But southeastern comes right back Kyle Low still in a quarterback.
Didn't play a week ago.
This time he keeps it 22 yards in.
It's 2821.
First play of the third quarter.
It's now 3121 and a bad snap.
We there.
It goes back towards the end zone a failed attempt to jump on it there at the two.
It gets in the end zone.
The Lions do jump on it but that's a safety.
So it's 3123.
Colonels had a field goal to make it 3126 late in the fourth, but Jayden Henry puts it away with a 14 yard touchdown for the first time since 2018.
The River Belle Trophy stays with the home team.
Lions win it 38 to 26.
The finished 9 to 1 in conference play and we'll wait till Sunday morning now to find out their playoff seeding, the Colonels and the year four and eight overall, four and four in conference play.
Scott let's start right there.
First with the Colonels.
Look, you end the season on a bit of a high note.
You won three of five.
Remember they started the season beating the defending champion number four UW.
Well boy things changed.
They found a new quarterback in Ian Rodrigue seemed to bring a little bit of a different level of confidence.
We saw how good Shane Lee was running.
I know they're disappointed at season's over overall with the record, but certainly lots of things for Timmy right back in his first years.
I couldn't agree with you more with Shane Lees, but was outstanding as a running back all year long.
You figured out the quarterback position kind of as the season went along.
Ian was was outstanding.
He brought a level of toughness and you saw this team kind of change.
They played good defense all year long, but you saw them play with a different confidence, a different swagger once the quarterback position got figured out.
Controlling the line of scrimmage, being physical, I think that type of game, it didn't turn out the way you want it to in the score column, but it's a it's a confidence booster going into next season.
You compete with a really good football team all the way to the end.
Yeah, I remember down the stretch they lost only by seven to the high scoring team in conference.
They lost by seven to a ranked Lamar team.
So they were certainly right there.
As for the Lions for southeastern, take a look at their schedule and how things worked out for them this season, because they certainly finished strong.
Their three losses at Louisiana Tech to start the season in Baton Rouge at LSU, and then their one loss in conference play was at number 18.
Lamar.
And that was by less than a touchdown.
But they win at Incarnate Word one week ago.
They get the big win with the River Belt Classic and they get the trophy here.
And Scott as we focus on the Lions, what they've done with the two quarterback system, the defense has been outstanding.
They said goodbye.
I think it's like 18 seniors.
The defense has been strong.
We've said a lot about Jalen DiMaggio.
I don't know that we've said enough.
This young man this junior has just been tearing it up.
Here's a matchup nightmare.
We've seen it week after week after week for the Lions off it.
And I think what makes it even more impressive is he's the threat on the outside.
He's the mismatch and still figuring out a way to take him out of the game.
I think a lot of it is because there's a really good running game going on year yesterday over four yards offense and Jayden Henry 14 carries for 93 yards.
So that running game when you have to fill the box defensively now that matchup outside becomes a problem.
And in southeastern is taken advantage of that miss on one on one it is a problem.
So the Lions are going to get themselves into the playoffs.
They don't have to wait to Sunday morning.
That's when the announcements will be made.
There's a feeling they could get matched up with the one conference team they didn't play this year that Stephen F Austin, and they were in Natchitoches on Thursday night facing the demons from Northwestern State.
As the demons were set to close out the season in the battle of the Chiefs in Natchitoches, the Lumberjacks jumped out early on the demons in this one opening drive for Northwestern State ended with a punt, and Buggs Mortimer tells his offense, stay seated.
I got this.
You see, on the left side is it's thugs.
More time I see.
I'm going to take it down the sideline.
See you.
They're not going to catch me.
He takes it all the way in 79 yards for the touchdown.
Lumberjacks are up seven.
Nothing just like that.
Rough going for Abraham Johnson.
This young man has grown so much throughout the season being thrown into this young ball club that they have.
But here you can see the struggles that young offensive line can't keep Stephen at forcing, the way he gets sacked from behind.
It's a loss of nine yards still in the first 13.
Nothing Stephen up Austin.
Sam dial goes up top and deep Kylan Harris 65 yards.
It's 20 to nothing.
In the first quarter it was 48.
Nothing at the half for the gains and put away.
But it's time to get some players some playing time.
And Eli Anderson comes in at quarterback for Northwestern State.
And watch the quick release here.
They are now inside the 15 yard line.
Beautiful touch.
Back at the end zone.
He gets to Cameron Davis for the score eight yards.
And then in the fourth Anderson does it again five yards to tie more.
Look some positive playing time for a lot of players late in the game.
But this was all Stephen at Boston.
And they keep college football's heaviest trophy.
The jacks roll up over 600 yards of offense and they win it 62 to 14 after losing their first two games, the Lumberjacks have now won ten straight and close out the season, capturing the Southland Conference regular season title.
Nice effort by Eli Anderson at quarterback.
He threw for 150 yards and two scores.
The demons finish this season one and ten.
Michael Desormeaux and his raging Cajuns back off of the bye week, and they're on the road for Thursday night action at Arkansas State against the Red Wolves, needing to win out to get bowl as well.
They've won the first two games.
This is number three, but this isn't what you want.
First quarter down three nothing.
Lunch Winfield gets stripped of the ball Cody Sigler gets the perfect bounce and scores.
It's ten.
Nothing.
But look at lunch I got this.
It's my fault.
Early second quarter Dillon Perry is going to punch it in.
It's ten seven.
The Cajuns now cut the deficit just to three early in the second quarter.
Fourth down Winfield takes it right up the middle and keeps it just like that Louisiana has come back.
They now have a 14 to 10 lead now 1713 after a Tony Sterner 41 yard field goal.
Cajuns kicking it off.
Chad's Chauncey Cobb running it back 93 yards as he gets past the last effort.
Takes it to the end zone and it's now 20 to 17 Arkansas State back on top.
But the Cajuns answer immediately.
Next drive Winfield down the field to Kaden Jensen.
Rolls out finds him one yard a like this.
Here they get it.
Then they go hurry up to get to the line of scrimmage.
And Winfield keeps it to take it in.
Rolls it out for the right side.
Now it's 2420 Ragin Cajuns 2724 Arkansas State at the half.
Let's go to the third quarter.
Bill Davis, how does he keep finding the seam for a guy that size and then breaks it loose from his guy.
He's got a nice feel great vision I think that's answer your question.
He's got great vision as a running back.
And they want to see finds that he knows what to do it.
Yeah 36 yards for the touchdown.
So here we go.
End of the ballgame nine seconds left Arkansas State has to get in the end zone.
They go for the touchdown pass.
It's incomplete.
But wait.
Here come the flags interference six seconds to go.
First and goal incomplete.
Now you're down to three seconds.
It's second down.
This is it.
You're going to win it.
You're going to lose it.
Red Devils have the ball.
Our Red Wolves have the ball.
Rather they decide to keep it.
Jalen Raynor keeps it tries to turn it up.
Field tries to stretch it out.
He's just short the ball comes loose.
It took forever for the officials to blow the whistle.
But they said the forward progress stopped and they didn't make it.
And the Cajuns get the win 34 to 30.
They now have one more game to become whole as of all.
But here's comments from head coach Michael Desormeaux after the huge road win.
Honestly, my biggest fear going into it was a two minute drive with with him with the ball to win the game, to be quite honest with you, I've seen him do it on tape all year.
I've got to tell you, our defense did a phenomenal job.
You know, we we kept him in the pocket and made him complete balls.
We knew he was going to take check downs.
You know, we didn't do a great job rally in and tackling the check downs at times.
Other times we did.
But 90 yards is a long way to go, you know, under two minutes to have to try to win the game.
And, you know, we were able to, you know, able to make them drive it and earn the whole way down the field.
And then certainly, you know, the stop at the end was really physical and, you know, showed a heck of a lot of grit.
The biggest thing I gotta say, man, hashtag relentless, man.
That's that's the that was the theme since January.
I told the guys in the hotel was like, we made these plays in January to ways the clock to keep the ball in play our game and win this game.
We've been made this these plays in January.
So relentless is, the biggest thing that everybody on the team know.
I say the same thing and every, every, mean we have they they laughed at me.
But it's true.
I see the same goal, same vision.
Everybody has the same goals and the same vision.
So that's the biggest thing.
You just proud of your team?
You know, ability to go out and, you know, we have some we know we have some younger guys, less experienced guys.
And you know, kind of take the lead is does it kind of inspire you to, you know, play harder for your teammates?
Those are the guys, man.
That's you're so thankful for like in today's world that they want to be here in this place matters to them a whole lot.
And even it's not just when things are good, man.
I mean, these guys are Ragin Cajuns.
And, I told them in the locker room, I'm so glad the game played the way it did.
So I'm so glad everybody got to see what this team's all about.
That's that's who they are.
They're gritty and they're tough and they're resilient.
And, you know, it starts with the leadership on the team and the guys that that that put it all out there for our team.
If we would have known how this season would play out, maybe Cajuns fans would've known ahead of time, might take some motion sickness.
Medicine man, because they have it up and down with this roller coaster.
And I remind you, they went into this game Thursday night short seven players because of the suspensions against Texas State.
But I'll also remind you in that game, Scott, remember goal line stand against Texas State and then Thursday night goal line stand on two plays first and second down to keep him out of the end zone to keep the season loss.
Yeah.
The defense the defense has been the story of this team.
That's why they won three games in a row.
They've been playing.
They have been up and down or been a bit of a roller coaster, but been playing their best football.
But going back to the defense, Jayden Dugger, he's been one of the most productive players of all the teams we've covered this fall.
We haven't really talked a whole lot about, but every time you look at the raging Cajuns box for its leading tackler, leading tackler, he makes impact plays.
And I think just as a unit defensively, he's done a good job through all the different who's going to play quarterback, different injuries on the offensive.
They've remained steady on defense, have done a good job.
Big reason why they were able to bide their time on offense.
Finding out that lunch Winfield was their guy.
Yeah.
And another quarterback just like Nichols.
Finally, in Rotary Lunch, Winfield steps in.
After all the turmoil.
They had a quarterback position and he's led them now.
So they needed four wins.
They have three.
So here's a look at the schedule for the Raging Cajuns.
Because they finish up at home after getting that big win at Arkansas State Thursday night.
They will return home.
If they can make it four for four, they will get six wins and they will wind up being bowl LV, which has been one of their goals from the start.
Despite all the slow starts earlier in the season.
But that next game, a home game the weekend after Thanksgiving.
So coming up next week they will host a Warhawks from Ulm.
Is their frustration?
Of course there is because we set the standards real high, but we're not backing down from them either.
And we got 27 seniors that this program may seem to, and they play their tails off and you see it.
It hasn't come together.
So you don't get up and fight for it again.
Get up and fight for it again and we will get there.
Well, they've been trying to get up after some of these tough losses for the Warhawks.
Will they have two more opportunities?
We just told you they will finish the season next week in Lafayette against the raging Cajuns.
But later on this afternoon, it's Texas State, a 4:00 kick for the Warhawks.
The defense has been doing very well for you, Ulm, but can they stop the rushing attack?
What Texas State is going to bring to the table could be a good opportunity for the Warhawks to grab some momentum before that season opener.
Again, it's a 4:00 kick.
You can check out all the action on ESPN plus, but once again, we're heading into another weekend for Tulane football and more distractions you might have heard.
Earlier this week, it was reported that John Summerall was going to be interviewing with the Florida Gators.
But within 24 hours that rumor then got shot down.
So I'm all said, no canceling everything because we have things to focus on.
Let's throw in another distraction because the playoff rankings came out.
And guess who cracked into the top 12?
That's right.
It's the Tulane Green Wave.
Take a look at the college football bowl predictions for the playoff.
Now we're in FBS.
Remember if the tournament started today Ohio State Indiana, Texas A&M and Georgia get the byes.
But the number five team, a very dangerous Texas Tech team, would match up with number 12 two way.
One of those in the Non-power conferences that have sneaked into the top 12 there.
But first things first, they have two games to play, starting with the game this afternoon at temple.
John Summerall says don't pay attention to what you're looking at right now.
At the end of the year when the last game is played, wherever you're ranked, that matters.
But nobody puts up a banner for a team that was ranked in week 13 in college football.
And quite honestly, to go look at the last three weeks, the team that's been right in our league, what's happened the last three American teams to get ranked all lost the next week.
And so, you know, maybe they, you know, are going to hold a grudge against us or something.
I don't know.
But, it's that's why it's important that no matter what happens in any ranking that anybody thinks it's about going out and winning the next week, as soon as you start to feel good about where you are, who you are, or what you're doing is really like, you know, pride comes before the fall, right?
And so as soon as you start to like, pat yourself on the back and feel real comfortable is when you get ready to go.
I get just absolutely crush.
I don't care if you're talking about football or life or whatever, like just don't be prideful.
We all know we got stuff to clean up on both sides of the ball, and long as we clean up the little things and the details up, it will be sure you got to strive for perfection, knowing you'll never attain it.
That's just the mindset of somebody who's going to be good at anything.
And so like, that's what we come in with every day.
It's like just because it's week 13 doesn't mean you can start, you know, showing up later and, you know, being more casual about things.
You got to be in the building even later.
You got to be studying more because there's more things to study and there's more things we put on tape.
So teams are going to have keys and stuff like that.
And so like, yeah, you just got to show up every day ready to get better in every way.
And that's that's what I'm trying to do every day.
So the next challenge up there in the Philadelphia area, 245 this afternoon, temple is allowing just 180 yards passing the game.
That's second in the American.
So you know that has Jake Retzlaff attention.
Tulane seeking its fourth straight American Conference championship appearance to get into that title game and could still actually host that ball game.
But they have to get that win against temple this afternoon.
It's a 245 kick.
And this game will be telecast on ESPN.
You Scott for the last.
What better part of a month now John Small's name has really been surfacing for a lot of his head coaching job.
I'll give him credit.
He's working overtime to kill the distraction because first you got his name being thrown around at 5 or 6 different schools.
Then you get the rankings and all of a sudden you jump James Madison, you there's there's just one more thing to pile on.
I need this, right.
They want to work on that laser focus.
He's doing the best he can.
I think he does a really good job of it.
I think we saw the moment.
And don't get me wrong, this temple game, it's going to be a tough game.
Temple played Army to a 1413 game and we remember Tulane Army.
That game went down to the wire too.
So it's going to be a battle.
But I think Coach Sumrall has his team ready to go, ready and focus and it took no more than going on the road to San Antonio, to UTSA, everybody tuning in that game and seeing what is going on.
Yeah.
And it's that was two lanes moment where you don't count it as a loss or as a team, as a coach, you say that needs to be a learning moment.
So we don't want those moments again.
So I think they jumped on this plane, went up to Philadelphia.
They've already had that learning moment at UTSA.
And now it's about taking advantage opportunities and staying in.
This.
College Football Playoff took four quarters of a nationally televised game to get your attention.
Maybe that's what spun us.
So here's a look at the Tulane schedule now with what they have.
With two games to go and trying to get to that championship game this afternoon at temple.
And then they finish up against Charlotte.
Now Charlotte plays Georgia later today Charlotte has won one game all season long against Monmouth and hasn't won anything in the conference.
So Scott, if there's a definition of a trap game when you see today at temple, is this the definition of a trap game?
Knowing a one win win loss conference teams waiting for you to close things out?
I think it can be.
But like I said, I think that trap game already happened in my opinion, at San Antonio.
That was a Tulane team that we haven't seen all year.
It was a it was an aberration.
It was a one time thing.
I think that got this team's attention.
It refocused them.
It got them back on track.
And now if you're coach Summer, you're saying we're in the playoffs.
We lose all those hopes and dreams.
We had it done.
So the place where we started with temple is a first round playoff game.
But this is the way I'm looking at it.
That's a great way to focus.
So we'll see what is for tonight.
But 245 this afternoon when Tulane takes on temple well up in Ruston, it's starting to feel like that.
If there wasn't any bad luck, Louisiana Tech would have no luck at all.
I think about it in the last two weeks.
Had a one point loss after an onside kick to Delaware, and then that was followed up by having to go to the West Coast last week and lose to Washington State.
And both of those games you lost two quarterbacks.
Blake Baker went out with an ACL at Delaware.
And then last week Evan Bullock was injured early in the ball game.
And now he's done for the season.
So look for Trey Cupich to get the start today against Liberty.
And true freshman Jackson Bradley is going to be the backup for the dogs who are still looking for that one very important win.
This is why they need the win at five and five.
Scott.
If they can get a win against Liberty today or at Missouri State, Louisiana Tech, we'll get the six wins for the first time since 2019.
And if they get the win today at home, it'll be the first time in that same timespan to get five wins at home.
It's bowl downs building.
It's four quarters at home.
That's separate you from being able to.
Yeah.
And don't underestimate how big a bowl game it was.
I think we all get lost in the College Football Playoff.
And the 12 teams and and bowl games have been minimized.
Bowl games are huge.
It's a it's a moment for these kids to experience.
It's also a moment for these coaches to get an entire another month of practice and development of players.
So making a bowl game is huge and be a big step for Coach Cumbie in the Louisiana Tech program.
And here's what Coach Cumbie had to say about the task ahead.
We want to be able to get to the six win.
You know, we want to be able to get to six and have an opportunity.
And, you know, 2 to 3 more.
And this is a football team that's play some really good football.
You know and a lot of points this season.
And in really two conference games you know came up short needed one more play in some form or fashion.
And we didn't make it.
But this is still a team that, you know, you know, I think this the statistically it tells a story in terms of where you're at and on both sides of the ball, defensively and offensively.
But but I think for more important, like, I think that for these kids to finish this season really well and the finish this game strong get our six win so we can continue to play.
Because I do believe that this team enjoys being around one another.
This team enjoys competing.
This this team enjoys football, the game of football.
And you know for us, you know, we're on a quarter system.
And one of the benefits of it is, is our guys are through with school now, for the next couple of weeks.
And so they don't have to, you know, have that weight and they can just completely focus on each other, spending time with one another and then also preparing to play, winning football.
Last year, when these two teams met, Liberty won 56 to 30.
But it's a different Liberty team this year, coming in at 46 overall.
They're number one in the conference in terms of yards allowed.
So maybe the Bulldogs can find that good offense.
We'll let the defense do what it's been doing.
It's a 2:00 kickoff in Ruston.
Enjoy the game if you're heading out there.
If not, check out all the action on ESPN plus.
While it's the battle of the board, a rivalry this afternoon when Matt Theodore closes out his first year back at McNeese, the Cowboys set to take on Lamar, the Cowboys and get them win.
It would move them to 500 in conference play for the first time since 2019.
The Cardinals hey, they're battling for a spot in the FCS playoffs for the second time in school history.
So again, if there is such a thing as a must win, this is it for Lamar in the final game of the season.
This will be the first ranked opponent the Cowboys have faced all season.
Should be a good win this afternoon.
Enjoy the trip to Southeast Texas.
If you're going.
If not, check out all the action this afternoon at 3:00 on ESPN plus tonight in Tiger Stadium.
It will be senior night for LSU as they welcome in Western Kentucky out of conference USA to LSU.
Will finish the season on the road next weekend at Oklahoma, so Senior night should be extra emotional, particularly for one player who's not expected to play tonight.
Garrett Nuss, Mario quarterback out again for the second straight game.
Michael Van Buren will get the start, but he will be honored tonight as part of the senior class.
And here's what Frank Wilson had to say earlier this week about Newswire.
To say that he played courageously, throughout the years probably an understatement.
I wasn't always, privy to the injuries and the things that he was going through.
But he went through a lot.
He persevered through a lot.
He pushed through an awful lot to give our team himself, every opportunity to be our best.
I commend, Garrett for that and what he did in this year, which I thought was extremely courageous.
Do you expect Garrett to dress out and compete this week?
I know he's going to want to, we're going to defer to our medical staff, our trainers, our doctors, to do what's best for him.
If there's any way that he can.
I know he's going to want to do so.
But I, I don't have those answers just yet.
Seemed like nurse was kind of rooting for you.
Did he give you any advice heading into your first start?
Especially since, you know, he was a second year starter?
Yeah.
I mean, he was always giving me advice.
Me in practice.
So it's really nothing new.
You know, he helps me out when when I need it.
I help him out when he needs it.
So it's, I mean, it's it's a brotherhood.
So it's, that always goes on.
We knew something was wrong with.
That's why I didn't get the 2000 yards this year.
Last year, he had surpassed 4000 yards.
Obviously, we didn't know the severity of it, but I know it's got to be heartbreaking when you state in this day and age, players can leave.
And he could have even tried the NFL.
The fact that he doesn't get to finish it out this way, it's tough.
Yeah it's tough.
It's been a disappointing year for him.
I think this the injury part of this right now.
Now that we can all kind of find out he's been banged up all year, kind of explain some of the season he's had.
But you can you can't question his toughness I mean he's been there for his team.
To your point coming back when a lot of guys would have left went to the portal.
There's money out there especially for the quarterbacks of every school we saw last year.
Carson back went to Miami.
So I think there's there's a lot of props wearing that number 18 coming back for that extra year.
I think he'll still have a memorable, memorable year when he and Michael Van Buren help the team get a little momentum last week in his first start, they get a win.
Now they can carry some momentum.
If they can get the win tonight against Western Kentucky and on the defensive side of the ball whit weeks.
They said he had a great week of practice.
By the way Frank Wilson made those comments on Monday.
On Thursday they made it official and thus Meyer's out.
But he also said on Thursday, after a week of practice, Whit Weeks has looked really good.
They think he might get back into action tonight, which will be a big boost for the LSU defense.
Yeah, big, big boost.
I think you saw this defense kind of roller coaster and go down a little bit when he was not feel.
He brings just an attitude and a toughness and a leadership ability.
And I think LSU kind of reclaim that last week.
But getting him back on the field and a playmaker and just the attitude he brings is definitely going to help.
And lastly, for LSU, as you start to try to get ready, are bowl eligible?
Getting a win at home night gives you seven another man.
That's a big deal.
But you're finishing the season in Norman against an Oklahoma team, which is you're going to be colder weather a very good Oklahoma team.
You want this momentum with a win tonight to get seven wins with a chance at eight instead of still sitting on six, hoping you get one on the road to close out the year, no doubt.
I mean, you have you have Senior night to play in Tiger Stadium one last time for these seniors and the to your point you're going to go against another College Football Playoff team that everybody is the darling of.
They went into Alabama.
So there's a lot to play for.
There's a lot of memories to be made.
And if you're a coach, you don't have to sell these guys on these next few games.
Now should be a big match.
Look at another full slate of football throughout our state, and we look forward to covering it all for some big games on Thursday.
We'll keep the momentum rolling on throughout the day to day, and we'll be back here tomorrow night to finish it up.
On Postgame Notes, we'll take a look at the FCS playoff brackets, especially southeastern.
Where do they get seeded?
Do they face Stephen at Fosston?
We'll see if Louisiana Tech can become bowl eligible.
And we know that the raging Cajuns are still waiting for one more weeks.
And they got it on Thursday.
So down the stretch.
And oh by the way next weekend a big win down in New Orleans.
The Bayou Classic for a southern team needing a win against a ground 18,000.
So we still got a good stage set up for the last week and still a lot of great football to be played and a lot of great things to cover.
Yeah, we're looking forward to it.
