The Metropolitan Opera celebrated the 50th anniversary of its home at Lincoln Center.
On May 7th The Metropolitan Opera celebrated the 50th anniversary of its home at Lincoln Center with a special gala, which featured performances by many of the company’s most prominent artists. And in what was probably the biggest surprise of the evening, the Russian baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky returned for a poignant appearance on the Metropolitan Opera stage to sing in the gala.
