Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorshipToday we're exploring Wenatchee Valley, more specifically East Wenatchee, and even more specifically, Upper East.
Wow.
All of this was made by glaciers, the foothills, the rivers where the Wenatchee River meets the Columbia.
And the rich soil that's perfect for agriculture.
Another great thing about the glaciers is that they created 2500 miles of recreational trails in Wenatchee Valley.
You can walk, bike, ride a horse, or if skiing is your thing, visit Mission Ridge where they have over 2000 acres of trails, chutes, groomers and poles.
And that's just on land.
Wait till you see what the water can do.
The Wenatchee River is where you can find 18 miles of the best class three water in the state, and the Columbia is wide and calm enough to enjoy all year round.
Yep, Wenatchee Valley really is an outdoor playground.
But when you come, remember, glaciers aren't the only thing that can leave a mark.
Make sure you recreate responsibly so we can all enjoy places as magical and special as this.
I'm Angela.
Thanks for exploring.
I'll see you.
