The Syrian Uprising that began in 2011 has displaced nearly half of its population. In 2014 the United Nations High Commission for Refugees estimated the number to be roughly 11 million people. These civil war refugees are living in camps spread across Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey. We take a closer look at this political and human crisis through the lens of a west Michigan photojournalist.
