Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship- Fresh lemons are super popular and extremely versatile.
When it comes to choosing the best lemons, you wanna look for thick, bright yellow skin that feels heavy for its size and has a lovely scent.
To maximize the shelf life of your lemons, you wanna store them in the refrigerator to retain moisture and freshness.
This could help your lemons to stay fresh for up to a month, but if you happen to bring home some really hard lemons, you can keep them at room temperature to aid in the ripening process.
When you go to use your lemons, make sure you give them a nice rinse.
If you're using the zest of the lemon, you wanna zest it before you slice.
Last but not least, store any of the remaining lemon by wrapping it in plastic wrap and placing it in an airtight container.
Keep these tips in mind the next time you're shopping for and baking with lemons.
