(switch clicks) (eerie music) The boogeyman is real.

(Lyle Jr.
screaming) (somber dreamy music) (wings flapping) (rain tapping) (thunder booming) - "How's work?"
I'm running around after a bunch of high school kids playing basketball, blowing my fancy little whistle.
How do you think work was?
- [Linda] You know, you don't have to be a jerk about it.
- [Lyle Sr.]
I'm not being a jerk.
All I'm gonna do is sit here and eat my meal and then get up and take a shower and wipe all this grime off, so I can go to bed and get up and do it all again tomorrow.
- [Linda] I will finish the dishes if you want to get kids to bed.
- Fine.
It's time for bed, sweetheart.
(uneasy dreamy music) (crickets chirping) - [Laura Voiceover] The boogeyman is real.
I know.
(eerie music) (boogeyman growling) - Hold on a minute.
What's your hurry?
(blood splashes) - [Laura Voiceover] The boogeyman is real.
I know.
- Because I killed him.
(blood trickling) (phone ringing) - Hello?
(sighs) Let me guess.
(somber dreamy music) (Lyle Jr.
Sighs) I don't know how you do it.
Same spot every year.
You go missing.
The home calls me.
I find you right here.
(sighs) This used to be our favorite place growing up.
And we had some good times here.
But you gotta stop doing this.
What our father did to us, it wasn't okay.
And no child should have had to go through that.
But he didn't deserve to die.
I know you were only protecting me.
I just wish you would've protected yourself first.
Let's go.
- [Laura Voiceover] There was a man.
He only came when the sun slept and took what he wanted.
Until one day, he took too much.
