New sensory ranch opens in Kiowa for kids with disabilities.
The idea for the ranch began a year ago when the Szarzynski family envisioned a space where their eldest son, Liam, born in 2016 with Down syndrome, could benefit from being around animals. They moved to Kiowa and started the sensory farm.

Hi, Bandit.
So Liam here, was born in 2016, and we knew early on that we just needed something special to really promote Liam and advocate for Liam.
His entire life, he's just shown us his adversity and his ability to overcome anything.
And we really wanted to continue that here at the ranch.
Having the ability to come out here and grow and his language has accelerated, and him helping with feeding animals, grooming animals has been a huge positive for Liam.
And if we can do that for Liam, we want to do that for everybody else.
For us to be able to give back to the down syndrome community, to other kiddos with unique needs and adults as well, we're just really excited to be able to share that.
I like it, mom.
