A tour of one of the oldest lighthouses in America – the Beavertail in Jamestown.
Records from 1712 make reference to a beacon of light emanating from the spot where the Beavertail Lighthouse now sits. In 1749, a wooden tower was built, becoming the third lighthouse in the thirteen colonies. In the continuing Window on Rhode Island series, Chairman of the Lighthouse Museum Association Board of Directors, Varoujan Karentz, and President, Linda Warner give a tour of the landmark.
