Roller skating is, there's not very many places to roller skate in the area or in Minnesota in general, and it's kind of a lost, art, sport.
And so we just wanted to be able to open up our facility for more opportunities and fun things to do in the winter.
I'm Kate Crispo from Old School Lives, and I'm the executive director.
Roller skate night is just a community event.
Not a fundraiser.
We keep the cost low, so that anybody can come and skate.
You can bring your own skates.
And we're also working with Roller Skate Rentals.
And they provide skates.
They have skates of all sizes, and skate rentals are only $5.
Old School Lives is a nonprofit community outreach center.
And any profits, that Old School Lives takes in at the door fee or, through concessions goes to fund, Old School Lives, which has all kinds of community programing for all ages.
Old School Lives has been around for almost 14 years.
And this is our second season doing roller skate nights in the winter season, mostly.
