Monarch Butterflies

A couple raise Monarch Butterflies from eggs inside their home, and then release them.

Gary and Darcy Hess moved to the country to enjoy nature. When they realized the Monarch Butterfly population was declining they decided to help “keep nature going” by finding Monarch eggs and bringing them into their home to raise as caterpillars. After the caterpillars emerge as butterflies they are released into the wild to make their long migration to Mexico.
