'Echoes' is the companion film to 'The Neighborhood That Disappeared,' an examination and celebration of Albany, New York’s multi-ethnic South End enclave, which was demolished for the construction of the Empire State Plaza in the early 1960s. The film continues the story of the South End’s vibrant Italian immigrant community displaced by the demolition of 98 residential acres in the capital city.
