Bill to Shrink School Districts

Special | 11m 28sVideo has Closed Captions

A bill proposes school districts should fall under the governance of cities, not counties.

The State of Florida is home to five of the country's largest school districts, including Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties -- but could they be too large? Proponents of a legislative bill say yes. If approved by state legislators and voters, school districts could fall under the governance of cities as opposed to counties - allowing more local control.
