Florida Death Penalty “Unconstitutional”

Special | 17m 32sVideo has Closed Captions

The U.S. Supreme Court recently declared Florida's death penalty system unconstitutional.

In a nearly unanimous decision, the U.S. Supreme Court declared Florida's death penalty system unconstitutional – essentially changing a 40 year judicial process. The state is one of only three that grants judges' the right to impose a death sentence - as opposed to juries, which is stated in the U.S. Constitution. How will this affect the hundreds of Florida's inmates awaiting execution?
