>> BACK IN 2016, WE DECIDED TO START THIS FOUNDATION.
MY SON WAS DIAGNOSED WITH AUTISM.
WHEN MY SON WAS READY TO AGE OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL, WE FOUND OUT THERE WAS NOT JUST A HOUSING PROBLEM BUT AN UNEMPLOYMENT PROBLEM.
YOUNG ADULTS WITH AUTISM AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.
WE WANTED SOMETHING FOR OUR SON TO SEE THE DOCTOR.
TO HAVE A SENSE OF PURPOSE.
WE WANTED OUR SON TO BE ABLE TO GET UP AND HAVE SOMETHING CLOSER TO A JOB OR A CAREER.
WE DECIDED TO START A JOBS PROGRAM FOR YOUNG ADULTS.
OTHERWISE, THEY WOULD BE UNEMPLOYED.
WE HAVE 11 YOUNG ADULTS IN THE PROGRAM.
OUR KITCHEN MANAGER BRINGS THEM OUT TO US.
WE HAVE CUTTER'’’S.
WE HAVE A FLOUR GIRL WHO MEASURES IT ALL OUT.
WE TRY TO MAKE EACH STEP AS SIMPLE AS WE CAN FOR THEM.
THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHERE TO PUT THEM AND WHERE TO PUT THEM.
WE CAN GET UP TO 90 TREATS ON A TRAY.
THE KIDS STARTED AT 9:00.
AT 10:30, WE HAVE A BREAK.
THE KIDS LOVE THAT.

I HAVE HAD SO MANY EMPLOYEES TELL ME IT HAS BEEN A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR THEM TO GIVE BACK.
