Chazy native Luke Basso, 21, has interviewed 125+ veterans and traveled to Ukraine to document war.

Luke Basso, 21, grew up in Chazy and began interviewing veterans at 15. By 17 he'd launched his YouTube channel, Filmperia, now home to more than 125 interviews with US, Iraq, and Afghanistan veterans, Holocaust survivors, and victims of communist regimes. Earlier this year he traveled to Ukraine to document soldiers and civilians living through the ongoing war.
