A new study looks at acceso health care and older Pennsylvanians, especially It was conducted by AARP, Pennsylvania and Drexel University College of Nursg and Health Professionals.
This was a really first ret on disrupting disparities Pennsylvania for people 50d older.
And it provides a really gd understanding of just agaiw geography and racial ethnic disparities in the state ag with other key health indicators of offer actione solutions to the populatio.
Angela Forshaw Rousse is te manager of State Operationd outreach for AARP Pennsylv.
She says the research indis areas with limited access o pharmacies.
As we look to the lack of access to pharmacies.
That's a great implicationo the accessibility of gettig those native vaccines to individuals, especially the in our older population.
And we have given the termf pharmacy desert.
The report also shows how access to the internet or k thereof plays a role in limiting access to care.
We found that over 71% of Pennsylvanians over the agf 65 currently have access te internet, but then that's almost 30% that don't have adequate access to the internet.
So the digital divide is ay strong reality for those in Pennsylvania right now, she says.
