We are at the Munger landing, doing a canoe trip from our Urban Boat Buiders program.
My name is Sorano Robinson.
I'm the youth restorative program coordinator at Men as Peacemakers .
Primarily work with youth 8 to 12.
So I'm involved specifically because like I work with youth and I love like doing new things.
I've always told, you know, by most people I know that they either don't like something that they haven't tried.
And I always think that that's an issue.
I think in life we don't necessarily have the access, especially kids of color kids of low income.
We don't have the access to these things.
And then we automatically just say we don't like them.
So I think giving kids access and availability to actually do these things, you get to learn like they do actually like being out on the water.
Oh, they don't.
But I think the most important, they give kids access to water, get kids access to nature, give kids access to building to teamwork is something that's always like beneficial to them.
