Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship- I've always liked, just loved making charm bracelets, friendship bracelets.
Growing up I make little, like the little dainty stuff.
Yeah, I make the bracelets and I do like the waist speeds.
And then my husband does most of the other jewelry 'cause the copper is kind of too hard for me to wrap.
- Like I said, it's, it's ancestral.
I was doing that in another life.
I'm an artist so I create jewelry.
Jewelry, I make food, I make music.
I mean art.
Period.
You know, call it simple.
Other would say complicated, but this one is simpler.
- Waist speeds are sacred adornments that you can put on your body to adorn yourself to bring into your femin energy, your divinity.
I am a full-time, I like to say spirit preneur.
Being able to support yourself and your family just by using your gifts is pretty amazing.
- We actually met physically in Norfolk here, spiritually.
We had common friends feeling like we've met before.
Some people don't meet each other, they just re-seeing each other, you know?
So that's how we felt.
We make all type of jewelry, you know, copper, silver, gold wire with crystals, you know, so all type of rings, earrings, necklaces, you name it.
You know, we make anything.
We like to listen to the customer, you know?
'cause the customer brings a challenge and the customer brings new ideas.
When you listen, you know, you bring your heart and you turn into it, which give you nice result.
You know, as a chef you get that alley, so you bring your culture, what you know, you create that synergy between the Caribbean and Africa, which couldn't be detached because the Caribbean is Africa.
Outside of Africa.
The fusion of the two is just one.
And so bringing that into a plant-based diet, Zion cuisine, yeah, we are the earth.
So we need to eat what comes from it.
It's as simple as that.
- I am having the salad that came with my fritters out the flowers and some delicious micro greens in an incredibly wonderful organic mustard toss.
- My favorite part is when people eat it and, and love what, not only touch the taste, but but how they feel afterwards.
That part, you know, is special.
- Knowing that we get to live our purpose, that we're connecting with people they resonate with.
It is just, you know, like the strength that you need to keep going.
I feel like all the time there's confirmation through the customers, but if they're loving the food, loving the items, you know, when he makes the jewelry, you don't know who it's for.
So when that person sees it and falls in love with it, the confirmation of the gifts, - Right, because it's not a job and it job is going to nine to five, not necessarily fully love in what you do.
You see me, I say it's a different type of spirit.
I would say work because it is something that is attached with a purpose on earth.
I want to give things and praises for the people that present themself to our table, no matter what we do to acknowledge just the knowledge, not only our presence, but I give that.
That is everything.
Do you hear me?
We are nothing without the people.
