And the Nominees Are....

FRONTLINE World logo

We are pleased to announce that FRONTLINE/World has been nominated for a Webby Award! We have been recognized in the Broadband category which honors sites using streaming video such as our Rough Cut series and all the broadcast stories we post online. Hailed as the "Online Oscars" by Time Magazine, the Webby Awards have been around for a decade, and we are fortunate enough to have been nominated in each of the past four years in such categories as news, best practices, and best television web site. This year the Webby organizers say they received a record number of entries -- over 5,500 from all 50 states and over 40 countries worldwide. Winners will be announced on May 9, 2006 and honored at The Tenth Annual Webby Awards in New York City on June 12th.

As a nominee for a Webby Award, FRONTLINE/World is also eligible to win a People's Voice Award. Voting is open to the public from April 11th to May 5th. To cast your vote, click here.
