Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet Co.Go to: ABOUT | ARTISTS & PROGRAM SELECTIONS | PRODUCERS & HOST | CREDITS ![]() Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet Company Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet Company's primary goal is to present performances that inspire and educate audiences on the beauty and diversity of Mexico's colorful dance traditions. Choreographies are developed through research on Mexican folk dance and culture, input from collaborating choreographers and historians and by studying and appreciating the work of other artists. Though stylized, the company's work is drawn from authentic and indigenous dances created by communities across Mexico. A major focus continues to be the extension of the folklorico experience to include workshops, meaningful participation in community events, educational content on our website and informative publications. Artistically, the group strives to continually improve its talent as dancers, choreographers and leaders to take ballet folklorico to a new level. Beyond these, the greater goal is to advance the field of ballet folklorico in the United States and help establish Los Angeles as a major center for folklorico, helping to bring recognition to the talent and hard work of the many folklorico groups in the region and work together to build the strength of the folklorico community.
