Willingham’s Police Interview

Conducted eight days after the fire. Present were Corsicana, Texas, police investigator Jimmie Hensley, assistant fire chief Doug Fogg, and deputy state fire marshal Manuel Vasquez. Hensley tells FRONTLINE, “Looking at his eyes, I didn’t see any type of remorse or sympathy in them.” Willingham describes the fire’s location and explains his actions during and after the blaze.
