PBS was recognized with four Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards on February 9, 2021. The ceremony was made available via PBS digital platforms and was hosted by Anderson Cooper and Michele Norris. Special guest presenters included Dr. Anthony Fauci, Professor Jelani Cobb and 2019 duPont winner Mariska Hargitay.

FRONTLINE earned a silver baton for “For Sama,” praised by the judges as “a powerful, harrowing documentary” that offers “a personal lens into [Syria’s] enduring conflict.” 

NOVA’s “Decoding COVID-19” was awarded a silver baton for reporting on the coronavirus epidemic. 

INDEPENDENT LENS “Bedlam” was honored with a silver baton for its examination of challenges facing mental illness. 

AMERICAN EXPERIENCE “Chasing the Moon,” a longform presentation centered around the space race, also earned a silver baton.
