Arlington, VA; July 24, 2023 - President and CEO Paula Kerger offers the following statement on the passing of Frank Blythe, executive director of the Native American Public Broadcasting Consortium, precursor to Vision Maker Media.
"Through his decades of service, Frank Blythe shone a spotlight on Native stories and perspectives, and was a critical partner to PBS,” said Paula Kerger, President and CEO of PBS. “While we mourn his passing, we know that his legacy will live on, and are proud to continue our partnership with Vision Maker Media under the leadership of Francene Blythe-Lewis. Sharing the stories of all Americans, especially Native Americans, is fundamental to our mission in public media, and we are committed to continuing Frank Blythe’s essential work.”
