About the Episode

It’s Easter Monday and preparations are underway for the community Easter Egg Hunt in the streets surrounding Nonnatus House. Fred (Cliff Parisi) and Reggie (Daniel Laurie) unpack foil wrapped chocolate Easter eggs but Violet (Annabelle Apsion) is not amused when she catches them eating several each.

Sister Catherine (Molly Vevers) is helping two young children hunt for eggs when she spots a poorly dog that’s foaming at the mouth behind the bins. Harry (Eisa Latif), wearing an Easter bunny outfit, says he has seen dogs like this on the streets of Delhi. News quickly spreads of a potential rabies outbreak and panicked local residents attend a public meeting where the mood is tense, despite Dr. Turner’s (Stephen McGann) best efforts to calm the situation.

At Tuesday clinic, as the team make their way inside to set up, a local resident tries to interest them in yoga lessons that his son is running, hot off the plane from India.

Back at the maternity home, Trixie (Helen George) looks after a patient experiencing a painful labor, but it is her pregnant sister-in-law who flees the delivery room terrified by the loud screams. Later, Sister Julienne (Jenny Agutter) encourages the scared mother to be, Estelle (Julie Lamberton), to admit what’s concerning her.

Elsewhere Rosalind (Natalie Quarry) introduces her parents to Cyril (Zephryn Taitte). Both Major Clifford (David Bark-Jones) and Josephine (Natasha Joseph) are polite but as the afternoon draws on, the atmosphere becomes brittle and strained.
