Half the Sky

WYCC PBS Chicago supports Half the Sky, a major human rights movement focused on gender equality and women’s empowerment, initiated by the book Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn. PBS and Independent Lens produced a groundbreaking documentary based on the book, which WYCC premiered in December 2012.
