Rising Wind; The Lady Elgin Story

Rising Wind; The Lady Elgin Story

In September 1860 the steamship Lady Elgin collided with a schooner on Lake Michigan and sank. Hundreds died, including many of Milwaukee's Irish community. In this play a German reporter, an Irish patriot, a runaway slave, an idealistic sailor and a Milwaukee girl tell their life-changing accounts in a rich tapestry of character and suspense.
