Megan Byer is the immediate past Executive Director of the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, appointed by President Obama. She led the first official U.S. government delegation to Cuba in the wake of President Obama’s historic visit.  Ms. Beyer is an award winning American journalist, commentator, and a recognized leader in gender equality. A former executive with the only gender certification model for multinationals, EDGE Certification, Beyer founded a four year bilateral women leaders project in Switzerland exploring the economic imperative for women’s leadership. She is a regular panelist on PBS’ To the Contrary, a weekly women’s news-analysis program airing on most PBS stations in the United States, in Canada and on other international outlets.
