Writer/Director/Producer Charles Burnett shares his career development process in narrative and documentary filmmaking with Killer of Sheep (1978), his seminal film, which was definitive in highlighting African American cultural experience. Burnett’s films Killer of Sheep and To Sleep with Anger were added to the National Film Registry at the Library of Congress for being culturally significant.
