ROUGHLY EVERY MONTH THERE’S A FULL MOON, THIS MONTH IS THE BUCK MOON, LAST MONTH WAS THE STRAWBERRY MOON, NEXT MONTH IS THE STURGEON MOON.
THE MOON CHANGES AS IT ORBITS OUR PLANET.
WE CALL THESE CHANGES PHASES.
BECAUSE IT’S WARM AT NIGHT, THIS IS THE PERFECT TIME TO OBSERVE THOSE PHASES.
EACH NIGHT FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS, SET REMINDERS TO HIT THE SKIES AND LOOK FOR THE MOON HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL SEE.
MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY, SUNDAY - FULL BUCK MOON!TUESDAY, THURSDAY, SATURDAY - ALMOST THIRD QUARTER AND FINALLY MONDAY AGAIN CLOSE TO THE PLEIADES OVER TIME YOU CAN SEE THE MOON CHANGE POSITIONS AND PHASES?
IF YOU KEEP IT UP, YOU CAN SEE IT PASS JUPITER AND MARS BEFORE BECOMING A NEW MOON ON AUGUST 4 AS IT APPROACHES THE SUN IN OUR SKY.
WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE MOON AGAIN AND AGAIN IT’S NOT SO CONFUSING, IS IT?
THAT’S WHY IT’S GOOD TO KEEP LOOKIN’ UP.
