50th Anniversary of Title IX

Fifty years ago today, President Richard Nixon signed a sweeping education bill; in it was a 37-word clause. Those 37 words would change the future for women and girls. Title IX bans discrimination based on sex. It requires equal access to any educational program or activity that receives federal funding.
