(peaceful music) (snoring) (screams) - Blueberry!
- Where could they have gone?
- What's wrong?
(shrieks) - I lost my glasses!
(shrieks) (upbeat music) - Not here.
- That can't be true.
They have to be there.
- Well, let's think Blueberry.
Where do you usually find them when you wake up every morning?
- Well, I usually put my glasses on the bookshelf when I go to bed.
Oh.
But last night I had a fashion show with Sir Oinks-A-Lot.
- But then we stayed up and looked for shooting stars.
- Right.
So where did you put them when we looked through the telescope?
- I don't know.
(sighs) They're gone!
Lost forever, like tears in the rain.
- Blueberry, Blueberry, Blueberry snap out of it.
Look, we can still find them.
Sophie, go ask Camp Counselor Carol if there's anything in the lost and found.
I'll stay here and help Blueberry look for her glasses.
- I love those glasses.
They made me feel like the best me.
- It's okay Blueberry.
I mean, it's really not that big of a deal.
I mean, without my glasses, I can still walk around.
- Really?
Well, I can't make out anything.
- Well, how many fingers am my holding?
- Hm.
One, two, three.
Um, either eight fingers or very swollen thumb.
- Oh, no, Blueberry.
- Oh, no.
- You really do need your glasses.
Your eyes don't work at all.
How do eyes work anyway?
- How am I supposed to know?
- Watch out!
- Ah!
I didn't see that coming.
- Here.
Let me help you.
- Ah!
It's so dark!
- Okay.
Wait, wait, wait.
Okay.
There.
- Good morning.
- It's the afternoon, Blueberry.
- Oh.
(eerie music) (upbeat music) - Hold still Blinky.
(ringing) Clubhouse Crew!
I understand that y'all are learning how glasses work.
Well before we learn about glasses, we need to learn about our eyes, right Blinky?
- Blink twice for yes.
Our eyes are complicated things but there are two parts that we need to focus on.
Anyhoo, these two parts of the eye are called the cornea and the retina.
The cornea is the transparent window at the front of the eye.
It is the eye's natural lens, focusing the light into the eye.
Light travels through the eye, into the back wall, or the retina.
This part of the eye sends pictures to the brain.
So what do corneas and retinas have to do with glasses?
Not all corneas are the same.
Some are curved or stretched differently, meaning that the pictures the retina sends to the brain are blurry or odd looking.
The best thing to remember is that, just because you need glasses, doesn't mean your eyes don't work.
It just means that they're shaped differently.
Glasses are simply there to help you see just how beautiful the world really is.
I don't think these are gonna work, Blinky.
How about a monocle?
All right.
- Oh, hello, Robin Reporter here.
I am a world-renowned comedian.
But you wouldn't know because you've been keeping your eye on me, right?
Anyhoo, let's get right to it.
This one, this one joke right here is going to make you laugh so hard.
Okay.
Here we go.
Did you hear the one about the webpage for people who suffer from eye pain?
It's a site for sore eyes.
You get it because it's a webpage, it's on the internet and your eyes are oh, okay.
Well try this one.
This one's definitely going to make you roll with laughter and not just roll your eyes.
Mm.
Why do potatoes make great crime fighters?
Because they always keep their eyes peeled.
You get it because you peel a potato and then they have eyes.
Oh no, don't go.
I do have more jokes, but I guess I'll see you around.
- Where could they be, Blueberry?
- Oh, uh, can you check the window?
(glass shatters) Oh!
(ominous music) No!
No!
No!
No!
No!
No!
No!
No!
Max!
No!
- Blueberry!
- My glasses!
Ah!
My glasses!
- Blueberry.
- Ah!
Max!
They're ruined!
- I'm sorry, Blueberry, I didn't see them!
- How could you not see them?
- Why were they on the ground?
- Ah!
Ah!
I can't hear without my glasses.
- How does that even work?
Sophie!
- Any luck?
- Only the bad kind.
Max scrunched my glasses.
- I didn't mean to Blueberry.
They were on the floor.
- I found some lost and found glasses and maybe we can see if this will help.
(drum roll) Right here.
- Oh wow.
You're very close to me.
I don't think these will work.
- Probably for the best.
- Okay!
Ah!
Oh, wow.
What about these?
- This doesn't seem right either, Blueberry.
- Let me see what else I can find.
- Oh!
You girls look amazing!
How do these look?
- I don't think so, Blueberry.
- Um, no.
- I think you should try another pair.
- Oh.
Well what about you, Sophie?
- Maybe these?
- Let me see.
- Oh, these are tasty.
Holy cow!
Okay.
These are it, right?
(Max laughs) Hey, what are you laughing at?
- Nothing.
They look great.
- Well, - Oh no, wait.
Blueberry.
I mustache you a question.
- Come on.
None of these are like my pink ones.
- What are you girls up to?
- Carol?
Carol?
Is that you?
Carol?
Come closer.
Take my hand.
- What happened to your glasses, Blueberry?
- Busted.
- Oh no.
Well that's okay, Blueberry.
Should we call your parents?
- Yeah.
What if your parents brought you a spare pair from home?
- These were my spares.
I dropped my real glasses in a tub of cheese dip, and I ate.
- Oh.
- And I ate.
- Oh.
- And I ate.
- Oh.
- And never found them.
- Whoa.
- I guess that means we're heading to the optometrist.
Come on Blueberry.
We'll call your parents from the counselor cabin.
- Carol, do you think they'll have my pink glasses so I can look like me again?
- We'll see.
- Easy for you to say.
Ah!
- So sorry.
You okay?
- Yeah.
I'll be okay.
- These things are great.
- Yeah, I guess so.
- What's wrong?
I just don't think you should have laughed so much at Blueberry.
- Well, I wasn't laughing at her.
I was laughing because these glasses are funny.
- I think you made it seem like you didn't care about Blueberry's feelings.
Gonna take a walk.
- Have fun.
- Bye.
(peaceful music) - Ready, ready, right here.
Here, get it.
Hehe!
Not the fingers.
Give me back my hand, Melba.
Okay.
Hehe!
Want some more?
Hehe.
Get it, get it.
- Alright.
We're almost there.
- Oh, are we close?
- Yes.
- I can't see a thing.
Take me to the doctor.
- Whoa!
This is fun!
- Whoa!
Maybe I need to get my eyes checked.
- No reason to get your eyes checked, Max.
I'm Dr. Iris Roll.
- Hi.
How do you know my name?
- I know lots of campers in lots of camps.
My special telescope allows me to see across the universe.
- How does it work?
- Oh, lenses are magical things.
Just like the natural lenses in your glasses, the lens in my telescope takes the light from the world in front of you, and stretches it in different ways, to make the world more clear.
My telescope is very special to me.
I just wouldn't feel like myself without it.
- So that's why Blueberry's glasses were so important to her.
Her pink frames were part of her Blueberry-ness.
- That's exactly right.
Glasses do help us see the world.
But because everyone's glasses are made just for their eyes, they also become part of who we are.
- So when Blueberry's glasses broke, she didn't really feel like herself anymore.
I probably shouldn't have laughed at her when she was trying on new glasses.
- Change can be scary, Max, especially when it's unexpected.
The best thing to do is be sensitive to how our friends feel in the face of changes.
- I can do that.
Thanks, Iris.
- Little tight, but woo!
Wow!
It's really bright in here.
Oh, I've never seen that before.
It's "road closed".
Oh.
Ah, see how I look?
Hmm.
It's alright.
I'm not sure how I feel about these colors.
They just don't feel right.
- Hey, Blueberry!
- Blueberry, show me your stylish new glasses.
- I don't like them very much.
- Blueberry.
I think they look great.
- You don't like them because you haven't accessorized them yet!
- Huh?
(cheering) - Wow!
Magic!
- Fashion show!
- Yeah!
How do I look?
- You look amazing.
- Wild and crazy.
Ready for a picture?
Get in, get in!
Haha!
Who do I look like?
Who do I look like?
- Chef Shawn!
- Yeah, Chef Shawn!
Mwah!.
Am I ready for my song?
Let me see, let me see!
- It's not ready yet.
- Okay, it's alright, I can wait.
(upbeat music) - You're a star, Blueberry!
- These glasses might not be so bad after all.
That was so much fun, Max!
- Yeah.
I'm sorry again for laughing at you, whenever you were trying on the different pairs of glasses.
- Oh.
- I mean, I never thought that my laughter would make you feel worse about losing your glasses.
But you're my best friend, and you're feelings matter to me.
So, I know that your old frames were really important to you but I really think your new one's really great.
- Oh.
Thanks, Max.
