I'm Joe Wos.
(happy, upbeat music) Thanks for tooning in.
(happy, upbeat music) Today, we're going to draw a very handsome, dapper, little guy.
This character is a fancy hamster.
That's really what they're called, fancy hamsters, but we're gonna dress 'em up a bit too.
Let's begin.
We're going to start with the nose.
The nose is a triangular shape, but it's a little bit curved around the edges.
(happy, upbeat music) Next, do the pupils.
One.
Two.
Now for the mouth.
Come down, around and up, add a little curved dash.
Down, around and up, add a little curved dash again.
Now the teeth.
Down, over and up.
(popping bubble sound) Add a line right down the middle, (upbeat, happy music) and then a dash.
(upbeat, happy music) Next are our eyebrows.
One Two.
(upbeat, happy music) Now for the top of the head.
It's a line just going right across like so.
For the ears, we come round, and in.
(popping bubble sound) Around, and in.
(upbeat, happy music) Inside the ear, and the interior, we add a little teardrop or raindrop shape.
(upbeat, happy music) The head and body are all one piece, one shape.
So we draw a line coming down.
(upbeat, happy music) Over, and down, and connect (happy, upbeat music) (popping bubble sound) (upbeat, happy music) (popping bubble sound) Now for the legs and arms.
The legs are just the number three.
There we go.
And a number three on this side.
(calm, happy music) The hands, look like this.
(calm, happy music) One.
(calm, happy music) And this one is a little bit different.
(calm, happy music) We're gonna have a few little freckles here, (calm, happy music) and paws.
(calm, happy music) Two, one, two.
(slow, happy music) (popping bubble sound) (children laughing) (musical chimes sound) Now, this is a fancy hamster, so we're gonna dress him up a bit by adding some costume, and props.
(popping bubble sound) Costume, is what a character wears, that tells us who they are.
Props are what a character holds, or uses.
So we're gonna give them costume first, we're gonna add a little hat on top of his head, a little top hat.
It looks like we're drawing a hot dog.
(happy, upbeat strings music) Then up, (popping bubble sound) over, and down.
(slow, happy, music) And then a hat band.
And we're gonna color all of that in, with your pencil, or marker.
(popping bubble sound) (slow, happy, music) (popping bubble sound) Color in the top of the hat too, just fill it in as best you can.
(happy, upbeat music) (popping bubble sound) There we go.
Now for a few of the props, in this hand we're gonna add a cane.
Line down, over, and up.
(popping bubble sound) Line across, at the top, and at the bottom, and we're gonna fill in the rest.
(happy, upbeat music) In this hand, let's have him holding a flower.
Line up, circle and then the petals, one and by one, one, two, three, four maybe five, or even six, it's up to you.
Add a little bit of ground surface, to show where he's standing.
There's your fancy hamster.
He's an adorable guy.
He looks like he's ready for a night out on the town.
Sign your name.
Take pride in your work.
(fast, happy music) I hope you liked drawing this hamster, and I hope we'll see you again real soon.
So, stay tuned to Cartoon Academy.
(happy, upbeat music) (happy, piano music)
