Akruti Babaria, originally from India, calls Buffalo home. Her parents, seeking the best opportunity they could find for their children, moved the entire family to America when Akruti was a teenager. Proud of both her U.S. citizenship and her Indian roots, and now a parent herself, she educates her own son and the wider community about Indian food, dance, traditions, and culture.
