A judge has ordered Apple to pay the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation $506 million for using patented technology in its iPhones and iPads. In 2015, a jury found Apple guilty of using the patented technology and ordered Apple to pay WARF $234 million. Despite the patent infringement verdict, Apple continued using the technology, prompting the judge to order an additional $272 million payment.
