APPRAISER: 1906 was the first one?
It's the type of thing that was probably hung in a, you know, public space.
Not, not many people at home.
GUEST 2: At the yacht club.
APPRAISER: Yeah.
Does the yacht club still exist?
GUEST 2: Uh, it got burned down.
It was on Harrison Island.
And this specific race was called the Stratford Shoal race.
APPRAISER: It's the Dewar shield, and you know that family?
GUEST 2: I know it's famous in British History.
APPRAISER: And liquor.
GUEST 2: Oh.
GUEST 1: And liquor?
Is that right?
APPRAISER: Yeah.
GUEST 2: Okay.
APPRAISER: What did you pay for it when you bought it?
GUEST 2: Paid $350, plus commission at the auction.
APPRAISER: I would say, for auction, $1000, $1,500.
GUEST 2: Okay, great.
