And I think it reminded them of their home.
APPRAISER: There was Alfred de Bréanski, Sr., Alfred de Bréanski, Jr. Now, it's generally recognized that Alfred de Bréanski, Sr., was the, the greater of the two artists.
GUEST: And I probably don't have him, then, right?
APPRAISER: (stammers): Well, uh...
GUEST: (laughing) (laughing): No, actually.
Uh, this is Junior.
Alfred, Jr., had a very similar style to his father and chose similar subjects, but there is quite a price differential between the two of them.
GUEST: Of course.
APPRAISER: For a, a de Bréanski, Sr., with the mist descending, the sun hitting the water at the side of the mountain in Scotland, those are in great demand, and those will make $30,000, $40,000, $50,000.
GUEST: Wow.
APPRAISER: Now, Junior is nowhere in that league.
And for a piece like this, I would expect it to fetch somewhere in the $3,000 to $5,000 range at auction.
GUEST: Oh, that's fine.
I don't want to part with it, anyways, but that's perfectly fine.
I love the picture.
