A parasite has infected mud crabs in North Carolina, turning them into zombie crabs.

North Carolina mud crabs have been infected by a parasitic barnacle that castrates them, making them reproductively dead. Researchers from East Carolina University are trying to find out how far the infection has spread along North Carolina's coast.
