Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship[upbeat music] - Hi, I'm Ms. Bailey, from Roxboro, North Carolina.
Today, we're going to learn about chemical reactions.
A chemical reaction is when two or more substances interact to form a different substance.
With an adults help, you'll need some homemade dough.
Mix one cup of flour, with one cup of baking soda and a fourth of a cup of oil.
Mix it all together with your hands.
Take some fun cookie cutters and make some shapes.
Grab some vinegar and add it to your dough.
The vinegar reacts with the baking soda in your dough.
The bubbles tell us, that the gas, carbon dioxide, is being formed.
[chemical fizzing] Look at all the bubbles!
Have fun experimenting!
