(Groaning) We have to get through this gate to get to Even and Steven, but it's locked.
This sign might be instructions.
I think we have to balance on the see-saw to open the gate.
Well, there's only one way to find out!
See if the see-saw holds the key.
Easy peasy!
Let's go!
Ugh!
Oh, no!
We're not balanced!
What are we going to do?
Oh, well.
You don't have to get it on the first try.
Maybe if I get on really slowly, I can keep you there.
Whoa!
Nope, you must be a lot heavier than me.
And if I'm a lot heavier, I'm always going to be on the bottom.
Cat, I think this is impossible.
We're never going to work it out.
When you must do a job that you think can't be done, that's the time to call out for Thing 2 and Thing 1!
(Whistling) (Chattering) THINGS: Ta-da!
Nick and Sally need to find a way to keep that see-saw in balance.
Can you please help?
Hmm.
(Murmuring) BOTH: I don't know!
You're giving up already?
BOTH: Yeah!
Hmm, Things, can you two stand side by side?
(Straining) BOTH: Ha!
Hmm, Sally, I've got an idea.
Okay, Things, get on the see-saw.
(Chattering excitedly) I don't get this idea of Nick's.
They're just see-sawing.
Stop, Things!
Sally, take that end of the see-saw.
And now, very carefully, let go on... 3, 2, 1!
Wow!
They're balancing.
You did it!
You did it!
How did you do it?
The Things are exactly the same.
BOTH: Huh?
What?
I mean, you both weigh the same, but I'm heavier than Sally.
If one of you were heavier, then that end would go down.
Oh, aha!
So?
So, both sides have to be the same weight to be balanced.
(Triumphant fanfare playing) Even and Steven!
