FIND A DARK, COMFY SPOT AND LOOK NORTH AFTER 9PM IF YOU DRAW AN IMAGINARY ARROW THROUGH THE BIG DIPPER IT WILL POINT TO CASTOR AND POLLUX, THE HEADS OF THE GEMINI TWINS THAT S WHERE TO LOOK!
THEY RE NAMED THE GEMINIDS FOR A REASON ONCE YOUR EYES ADJUST YOU SHOULD START SEEING METEORS.
THE MOON RISES AROUND TEN THIRTY AND MAY MAKE VIEWING A BIT TOUGHER, BUT FORTUNATELY, THE GEMINIDS USUALLY PUT ON A GOOD SHOW FOR SEVERAL NIGHTS BEFORE AND AFTER THE PEAK.
A METEOR SHOWER OCCURS WHENEVER OUR EARTH RIDES DIRECTLY INTO A STREAM OF SPACE DEBRIS LEFT BEHIND BY A COMET.
