- Yeah, Blueberry.
- Have you thought about what color you want to paint the seating?
Purple.
- I don't know.
Maybe.
- Oh, maybe orange?
(fast clicking) - Mm, too bold.
- Oh, what about yellow?
- Maybe Blueberry.
- Well, I'll make a list of colors, and then we can talk about it later, okay?
- Okay, Blueberry.
- I sure am glad to be back at camp.
This school year was a doozy.
- Yeah, well, we've been on vacation for a few weeks now.
I've had a great summer, so far.
- Oh, really?
Oh, what have you been up to?
- Let's see.
I got to visit my grandmother for her 60th birthday party.
We had cookies and cream cake.
- Oh, that sounds delicious.
- I got my braces off.
- Oh, your teeth look amazing.
- Thanks Blueberry Oh.
Oh, this is when we went to the carnival downtown.
And I got to see Chef Shawn in the dunk tank.
- Oh, I see.
He's all wet!
(laughs) - It was hilarious.
- Oh, I wish I could have been there.
- It was great.
- Hmm.
- So, what have you done so far this summer, Blueberry?
- Me?
- Mm hm.
- Oh, um, not much.
Not much, really.
- Well, that can't be true.
You're always up to something.
Well, I did have quite the summer adventure.
My parents and I went to the beach.
It was great.
We were sure to use lots of sunscreen.
Too much sun isn't great for a growing berry.
And then a giant octopus rose from the water, and then he simply .. - Wait a second.
That sounds pretty far fetched, Blueberry.
- Nuh uh.
His name was Oswald, and he really liked ice cream.
His favorite flavor was vanilla bean rainbow sherbert dream, which is my fourth favorite flavor, but I don't hold that against him.
- Let me stop you right there.
- Oh, okay.
I was just getting to the good part.
- I think you're telling a fib, Blueberry.
(gasp) A fib is when we tell untruthful things about things that don't matter.
- Well, it matters to me.
It was my summer vacation.
- Well, then, if you're making things up about something that does matter, you're lying.
(gasp, frantic breathing) I didn't mean to lie.
I ..
I just wanted my summer vacation to sound as cool as yours.
I was afraid if it was boring, you wouldn't want to be friends anymore.
- Oh.
Blueberry.
Telling fibs and lies can have negative consequences.
People will stop believing you even when you're telling the truth.
- I'm sorry, Max.
- It's okay.
I know you were nervous, but you never have to be nervous about wondering if I'm going to be friends with you or not.
Okay?
- Okay.
- Ooohh kay.
- Ok, let's start from the beginning.
What did you do this summer, Blueberry?
Well, we really did go to the beach, and my dad got so sunburned.
(laughs) He's okay.
I also went ziplining through the Ozark Forest.
I was at least five inches off the ground.
And then I competed against my friend Theodore in a hot dog eating contest.
I won!
I planted a jelly bean garden, but nothing grew.
I ate the jelly beans.
And then I hit the game winning home run in a softball game.
The ball went in to the next county.
Seriously!
(happy music, whistling)
