All of my lessons are experiential.
So we have immigration, they are creating a character that comes to America in the early 1900s.
And in order to give them the feeling; we bring in 500 feet of chain link fencing and we turn the gym into Ellis Island.
There's a lot of heavy lifting that goes into prepping kids for that.
But then the payoff at the end is that it all comes together.
You can show us what you know by everything we've covered, by how you've taken on the role of someone else who's been there before you.
Brad also leads The Student Activism and Leadership Team, S.A.L.T., in global service efforts.
His students are not just learning.
They're making a tangible difference in the world.
They're never going to remember the chapter they read or the tests they took, but they will remember an experience that they had or a feeling that they had.
